National Principals Month: Dana Gros
To celebrate National Principals Month, we’re sharing some fun facts about our amazing school administrators. Today you’ll learn more about Ms. Dana Gros, principal of South Larose Elementary School.
Here’s the inside scoop on Ms. Gros:
🐶 She’s in her fifth year as principal.
🐶 She says the most rewarding part of being a principal is watching students blossom, seeing the excitement in teachers and students when they succeed and knowing that even the smallest success is growth for not just the students but the school family and eventually the community.
🐶 Her favorite subject in school was math because she was blessed with some amazing teachers who instilled a love for it. “I guess I liked to solve problems.”
🐶 Her favorite school lunch in high school was the amazing homemade pizza, and now it’s meat pies.
🐶 An item on her bucket list is to stay in a hut over the water in Bora Bora.
🐶 Outside of work she enjoys traveling and fishing.
🐶 Fun Fact: She started her career working at her dad's biggest rivalry while he was still teaching and coaching at CLHS.
